A BRAND YOU CAN TRUST
Founded in 1989, by famed Guzheng maker Jia Hongliu in Yangzhou, the company Zhonghao Ltd produced the Zheng Weidao Guzheng brand.
Zhonghao is a part of the Yangzhou Guzheng association and Many Guzheng maestros like Wang Zhongshan and Professor Chen Anhua prefer Zhonghao Zheng Weidao Guzhengs.
These Guzhengs feature a proprietary scale design, which is a guarded trade secret that makes them so unique and exceptional. Also, these Guzhengs tend to have a mellower, warmer, deeper tone, and this sound fills up an entire room, with that strong spatial sense.

SOUNDBOARD & STRINGS
What makes this Guzheng such a special and distinctive breed of Guzheng? The Zhonghao ‘Fantasy’ Teakwood Guzheng is partially-hollowed out from a single log of Paulownia wood. Unlike the common Kaoban Zhemian Guzheng from Dunhuang, Dingyun etc, the Zhonghao Guzheng’s entire soundboard and side is carved by hand from a single block of wood without any joints. Making this Guzheng is laborious and time intensive but gives the perfect results to the finest detail to give you the best tonal quality possible. Only the high-end Zhuque Guzheng uses the fully hollowed out design.
The soundboard uses 30 year old wild-grown Paulownia wood which has been carefully air-dried in a controlled environment over 10 years. Master craftsmen carefully shape and carve out ridges on the underside of the soundboard by hand and, this Guzheng gives off a holographic-like sound.

FRAME & BRIDGES
Crafted with the beautiful black walnut wood, the frame possesses a rich, chestnut hue. With beautiful wood grains that span across its length, this Guzheng has a succinct aura that is goes beyond its humble price tag.
As a crucial part of the Guzheng, this set of bridges is constructed from sturdy Black Sandawood. Tipped with a composite of resin and crushed bone powder, the resultant tone produced is smooth and direct.
DECORATIVE PANEL
The Zhonghao ’Fanstasy’ Teakwood Guzheng uses a motif of a mythical creature “Kunpeng”, a legendary giant bird, with a massive physique and cloud-like wings that spans across the sky, enhanced by a delicate blend of mother-of-pearl inlay. Its presences symbolizes the magnificent power of nature, creating a unique world within the design. The fine level of craftmanship is showcased to perfection here. While the decorative panel design doesn’t affect the Guzheng’s sound, who doesn’t love a Guzheng that looks as beautiful as it sounds!
