Mujiuchen only makes fully hollowed out Guzhengs (from a single block of wood), whereby each guzheng is hollow-out from a single log without any joints and internal frame. These are high-end Guzhengs that uses 40-60 years old wild-grown Paulownia for the soundboard.

Unlike many other brands of Guzhengs with decorative panels that have interchangeable designs, each Mujiuchen Guzheng is designed and crafted from scratch. The craftsmanship and finishing of the Guzheng is top notch, and can rival any other top class Guzhengs. Mujiucheng guzhengs has its unique tonal spectrum, and its construction is similar to that of the highest tier Zhuque Guzhengs, but have brighter and more penetrative highs.
