MATERIAL

The top of this Hulusi made from a real dried up gourd and the bottom portion is the exotic Xiang Fei Bamboo (香妃) found only in the wild mountains of Hunan, which has been dried for at least 5-8years. Its penetrative sound and sweet timbre is due to the higher than usual silicon content in its dense bamboo material. Due to its high density, and tough fibers, it increases the effort and time to a Hulusi out of this bamboo exponentially.
