Made from Chinese fir, the timber used in the creation of this soundboard is harvested from centuries old beams of ancient Chinese buildings. This Guqin can produce beautiful resonances that is lyrical, yet almost mournful in nature.
Uses organic lacquer from the Chinese lacquer tree, this lacquer base is meticulously blended with ground deer antler along with other organic materials. Covering almost the entire Guqin, the quality of lacquer gives this Guqin a clean and clear tone colour.
The Fan Shi makers layered the Guqin with lacquer, and also air dry every single layer. This will give the Guqin an even appearance that is aesthetically pleasing and gives the Guqin a clean and clear tone colour.

Constructed from top end cuts of Catalpa wood, this bottom board was crafted from old pillars and beams. It is especially dried in order to create a clean and clear sound along with the top soundboard.
The Yue Shan is the part which holds the strings above the fingerboard and passes down the vibrations of the strings to the Guqin. Handcrafted to the appropriate height, the Rosewood bridge is key to the beautiful sound that this Guqin produces.
