MATERIAL

Unlike the Erhu, the Jinghu uses well-aged and air-dried bamboos to make Jinghu’s  body due the  high string tension. The snakeskin used here is from a type of water snake. The snake skin used here is remotely different from the Erhu. The snake skin is specially selected, requiring just the right amount of elasticity to ensure the optimal tonal quality for that of a Jinghu.
